As the flagship museum of the J. Paul Getty Trust, the largest arts endowment in history, the Getty Center sits atop the hills of LA with sweeping views of the entire Los Angeles basin from the mountains on one side to the pacific ocean on the other.

Visiting Los Angeles
LA is very spread out, and if you are unfamiliar with the area, here are some tips:
Santa Monica is on the beach, close to the LAX airport, and is a quick cab ride from the Getty. If you're looking for nightlife - Hollywood is your best bet, still reasonably close to the Getty. Centrally located, Westwood, Brentwood, Bel-Air and Beverly Hills, are also good options. Downtown LA might not be ideal - traffic will make things difficult.
Program
You’ll be parking in the Getty’s parking lot ($8) and taking a tram up to the Museum. Once you exit the tram, ushers will show you to the auditorium. Gourmet boxed lunch during the event, and 2 drink tickets for the after party are included with each ticket. If you have any questions please .
9:00 am - 10:00 am
Registration will begin outside the auditorium. While there is not a bad seat in the house, we do recommend that you register early if you have a party of 2 or more to help ensure that you find seats together.
10:00 am - 6:00 pm
Sessions will begin promptly at 10am, breaking for 1 hour while lunch is served, and twice for coffee.
6:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Party on the courtyard!
Immediately after the event our group will walk across the Getty campus to enjoy cocktails and live music on the courtyard hosted by The Getty Center as part of their 'Fridays off the 405' party series.
